Today today, the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) Solar Energy Technologies Office (SETO) inaugurated the American-Made Promoting Registration of Modules and Inverters that includes the Ecolabel (PRIME) Award the prize is an $2.7 million contest that encourages ecolabel registration to improve and boost the efficiency of domestic inverters and solar photovoltaic (PV) module sustainability.
PRIME Prize PRIME Prize seeks to boost the registration of solar modules as well as inverters by using the EPEAT Ecolabel. EPEAT is an eco-label managed and managed by the Global Electronics Council for certain electronic products, which includes Inverters and solar modules. The award aims to loated tea recipe manufacturers to meet the requirements to meet EPEAT’s standards and to make their products appealing to consumers who are looking for sustainable products.
PRIME Prize PRIME Prize is open to U.S.-based manufacturing firms that produce the solar PV module or an inverter. Candidates who qualify must not possess either PV or Inverter modules currently registered with EPEAT.
The prize comes in two phases, which span over two and two-and-a-half years. Each participant could be awarded up to $450,000 of the $2.7 million cash prize pool.
